She is an active member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice. She was appointed and has served over 10 years on the Court of Common Pleas Arbitration Rules Committee. In 2020, she was selected to serve on the publications committee for the ACBA Law Journal. She is a member of the Western Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and has sat on the Board of Governors for the past 12 years. She has held the position of Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice President. She is currently the President of WPTLA. In 2017 and 2021, she was elected to serve three-year terms on the Judiciary Committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association. This is the only committee in Allegheny County that is authorized to consider and rate the qualifications judicial candidates. In 2017, Katie was inducted as a fellow in the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, an invitation-only group of the Bar’s most experienced and proficient litigators. Katie served as first chair of the 2021/2022 Academy Mock Trial Competition and has also served on the Diversity Committee and Academy Membership Committee in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. She currently holds a position on the Board of Governors. In 2023, Katie was appointed to serve a three-year term on the Hearing Committee for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. |
